Liquidations today

• It is a leveraged position the exchange closes by force because it no longer has enough margin to stay open.
• A liquidated long is someone who was betting on a rise: the exchange sells their position, which pushes the price down. A liquidated short is the opposite: the exchange buys.

• That the price has dropped far enough to force-close many of those who were betting on a rise. If there are more shorts, the opposite: it has gone up.
• A wave of liquidations on the same side usually comes with a sharp move, because each forced close pushes the price a little further that way.

• From the public channels of Binance, Bybit and OKX, from their USDT perpetual futures, for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, Dogecoin, BNB, Cardano, Sui, Chainlink, Avalanche, Litecoin and Hyperliquid. Every liquidation is counted, of any size.
• Above the figures you will see which exchanges are coming in right now. If one drops out, it says so there.
• We started counting when this tool was launched: there is no data from before.

Binance does not publish all its liquidations: for each pair, it sends at most one per second, the latest. When there are many liquidations, most of them do not come through, so its total is only part of what was really liquidated there.

Hyperliquid does not separate its liquidations in its public channel: they come mixed in with regular buys and sells, and cannot be counted on their own.

The total for all coins and each one separately, the split by exchange, the biggest Bitcoin and Ethereum liquidation, the chart of any of them and the last 7 days.
