BingX vs Bitget: the real differences for trading futures

By the NexoTrade team · Checked on October 18, 2026

BingX charges a bit less when trading futures at market (0.05 % versus 0.06 %), and both have futures and spot copy trading; Bitget adds bot copy trading. What sets them apart most is who’s behind them, their thefts and where they can operate: Bitget is registered in Argentina, and in the European Union neither of them opens an authorized account for you with the code.

Depending on how you trade

  • If you do copy trading: both let you copy other traders on futures and spot; Bitget also lets you copy bots. What a trader made before says nothing about what you’ll make.
  • If you trade at market: BingX charges 0.05 % as taker on futures and Bitget 0.06 %. As maker, both charge 0.02 %.
  • If you live in Argentina: Bitget, which is registered as a PSAV. BingX isn’t.
  • If you want to know who’s behind them: Bitget says in its terms that it’s operated by a company based in Seychelles; BingX names its company but doesn’t say which country it’s from.
  • If you’re worried about the security of your funds: both publish their proof of reserves every month and both have suffered a theft. Bitget, of about 388 million dollars on September 24, 2026, which it says it covered with its protection fund; BingX, on September 20, 2024, without giving the amount, which it says it covered with its reserves.
  • If you live in the European Union: with the code, neither of them opens a MiCA-authorized account for you. BingX’s subsidiary BingX EU is authorized, but without futures or Spain, and BingX hasn’t said when it opens; Bitget says it has applied for authorization in Austria.

Fees, with the same example

Opening and closing a 10,000 USDT position at market on BTCUSDT costs about 10 USDT on BingX and 12 USDT on Bitget, not counting funding. With a VIP level, the fee goes down, and each has its own conditions.

Futures and copy trading

Both have USDT perpetuals. BingX allows up to 150x on BTCUSDT and Bitget up to 150x, but that changes nothing if you trade sensibly: more than 20x is very risky. Cross or isolated margin

Copy trading: BingX, for futures and spot; Bitget, for futures, spot, and bots. What a trader made before says nothing about what you’ll make, and their losses get copied too.
